The Joliet Job Corps is an organization that offers students the opportunity to get their high school diploma, GED, or vocational training tuition-free. This new dormitory is one story, approximately 26,000 square feet, and built on the existing Joliet Job Corps campus. The building houses a centrally located common area, study rooms, laundry facilities, resident advisor offices, and lounges. There are thirty-two quadruple bedrooms and four double. Every resident has a private closet, and each bedroom has a bathroom, desk, shelves, and bulletin boards. Careful color, fabric, and furniture selection helps the dormitory retain a residential character.
The exterior of the building has asphalt shingle hip roofs and face brick walls to maintain the residential quality. The interior walls are concrete masonry units. The site is fully landscaped and has thirty-four new parking stalls.
